Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas we had! Lots of celebrations and fun:)
The boys had a Christmas party at Mary's, where they unveiled the tree they've been decorating (made lots of ornaments at school!), danced to Christmas songs (and Theo's request: Monster Mash), and gave out presents. Theo (and Owen) gave us a little plant and a book they made ("All about me"). Theo got a truck from mary that has lots of lights and sounds, and a very loud little snowman that dances from Emma (he loves it, but it will be disappearing soon...). Owen ate his first cookie and loved it, of course. Then he and little Nolan just followed everyone around.

Had Christmas morning here a day early. Theo was really into Christmas this year. We had our house elf, Nicky (Elf on the Shelf- we loved it!), who Theo talked to each night before bed- "tell Santa Theo's good!". He was also really excited by Christmas lights. Every time we went out in the car, he's say, "Oh! Christmas lights...Oh! Christmas lights!..." each time he saw any. One night, after seeing a lot, I heard him whisper to himself in the back seat, "I can't believe it!". It was really fun to see how excited he was about everything. Theo got a batman bike and helmet and some books from Santa. Unfortunately, the bike is a bit big, but will hopefully be perfect in the spring. Owen didn't really know what was going on, but tried to eat all: toys, wrapping paper, boxes, etc.

Then we took off for Wareham first thing Christmas eve morning to see Nanny and Papa, Auntie Karen, Uncle Mike, Elsie, and Teri and Don. It was great to see everyone. Theo had tons of fun with Elsie cooking, playing playdoh, but mostly riding his bike with Elsie chasing him. Stayed there a few days and relaxed (as much as you can with a 3,2,and 1 year old). So fun seeing all of the kids together.

Came back and went to celebrate Christmas with Nonna and Grampy in Lexington. The boys stayed overnight (mark and I got the night off! Saw Slumdog Millionaire- great move, and bought a new couch!), and had lots of fun getting spoiled. Not surprisingly, Theo spent most of the time riding his bike, and Owen spent most of the time trying to find things to eat.
