Our ongoing issue with Theo has been his binky. He has 2 binkies that he LOVES, and uses every night. We have wanted to break him of it, and have said things to him from time to time about how he was getting too big for his binky, but have not made a concerted effort in a while. Well, last night, we were all sitting down at dinner talking about our days, and Theo says, "I don't need my binky anymore, I'm a big boy, let's give my binkies to the store." we were a little surprised, but went with it. We told him that we couldn't go to the store, but we could mail them to the store. At this point he got all excited. We got an envelope, he put in his binkies, had Mark address it to the store of his choice- Star Market- and we all walked to our mailbox and stuck it in. And that was it. He didn't ask for them last night and slept great (of course, I ran out and retrieved them once he was asleep just in case...). Tonight, there were a few tears, but not many, and now he's asleep with no binky! We are so excited.
